Bar·low's disease

n :  INFANTILE SCURVY
 
Barlow, Sir Thomas (1845-1945),
British physician. Barlow is noteworthy for his research and discoveries in children's diseases. In 1883 he described infantile scurvy, now known as Barlow's disease. He was the first to distinguish infantile scurvy from rickets, and tuberculosis from simple meningitis.
