Gart·ner's duct
n : the remains in the female mammal of a part of the Wolffian duct of the embryo - called also duct of Gartner Gart•ner, Hermann Treschow (1785-1827), Danish surgeon and anatomist. Gartner discovered the duct that now bears his name in a sow and in 1822 wrote a detailed description. The structure was apparently first discovered by Marcello Malpighi about 1681.
