Mor·ton's neuroma

n :  a neuroma formed in conjunction with Morton's toe
 
Morton, Thomas George (1835-1903),
American surgeon. Morton published the first complete description of a form of metatarsalgia involving compression of a branch of the plantar nerve in 1876. Although it had been already observed, the condition has since become identified with him.
