n :  a measure of the type of body-build obtained by subtracting the sum of the weight in kilograms and the chest circumference in centimeters from the height in centimeters
 
Pignet, Maurice-Charles-Joseph (b 1871),
French physician. Pignet, who had a career as an army doctor, introduced the Pignet index in 1900. He also is credited with introducing a new method for the chemical analysis of water in 1902.
