Lam·blia
n, syn of GIARDIA Lambl, Wilhelm Dusan (1824-1895), Austrian physician. Lambl was the first to describe the causative agent (Giardia lamblia) of giardiasis in humans. The description was included in a collection of medical reports published in 1860 by the hospital where he was in residence.
