Cin·na·mo·mum

n :  a large genus of Asian and Australian aromatic trees and shrubs of the laurel family (Lauraceae) that have mostly opposite leaves with three to five prominent longitudinal veins and small flowers in panicles and include the camphor tree, cinnamon, and Chinese cinnamon .
