Kar·ta·ge·ner's syndrome

n :  an abnormal condition inherited as an autosomal recessive trait and characterized by situs inversus, abnormalities in the protein structure of cilia, and chronic bronchiectasis and sinusitis
 
Kartagener, Manes (b 1897),
Swiss physician. Kartagener published his description of Kartagener's syndrome in 1933. He also published various papers on pulmonary and blood-circulation diseases.
