Par·kin·son's disease

n :  a chronic progressive nervous disease chiefly of later life that is linked to decreased dopamine production in the substantia nigra and is marked by tremor and weakness of resting muscles and by a shuffling gait - called also paralysis agitans , parkinsonian syndrome , parkinsonism , Parkinson's , Parkinson's syndrome  .
