n :  a mixture of antibiotics once regarded as a specific bacteriolytic enzyme that is obtained from a bacterium of the genus Pseudomonas (P. aeruginosa) and that is a soluble yellowish green alkaline amorphous substance capable of digesting various other bacteria .
