Mac·leod's syndrome

n :  abnormally increased translucence of one lung usu. accompanied by reduction in ventilation and in perfusion with blood
 
Macleod, William Mathieson (1911-1977),
British physician. Macleod was a specialist in pneumology and thoracic medicine. He described the condition now known as Macleod's syndrome in an article published in 1954.
