n :  any of the cytoplasmic inclusion bodies found in neurons of parts of the central nervous system in myoclonic epilepsy and consisting of a complex of glycoprotein and glycosaminoglycan
 
Lafora, Gonzalo Rodriguez (b 1886),
Spanish neurologist. Early in his career Lafora served as a histopathologist at a government mental hospital in Washington. Later in Madrid he lectured in neuropathology and directed a laboratory for brain physiology. He published experimental studies on the function of the corpus callosum and produced full-length works on mentally abnormal children and on neurosyphilis.
