n : a test for arsenic used esp. in toxicology that is based on the formation of arsine (as in the Marsh test) and the production by the arsine of a brown stain on filter paper moistened with mercuric chloride solution Gutzeit, Ernst Wilhelm Heinrich (1845-1888), German chemist.
