ligament of Zinn

n :  the common tendon of the inferior rectus and the internal rectus muscles of the eye - called also tendon of Zinn 
 
Zinn, Johann Gottfried (1727-1759),
German anatomist and botanist. Zinn was a professor of medicine and director of the botanical gardens at Göttingen. In 1755 he published a monograph on the anatomy of the human eye. It included the first accurate descriptions of the ligament of Zinn and the zonule of Zinn.
