olfactory lobe

n :  a lobe of the brain that rests on the lower surface of a temporal lobe and projects forward from the anterior lower part of each cerebral hemisphere, that is continuous anteriorly with the olfactory nerve, that consists of an olfactory bulb, an olfactory tract, and an olfactory trigone, and that is well developed in most vertebrates but is reduced to a narrow elongated body in humans .
