Pac•chi•o•ni, Antonio (1665-1726), Italian anatomist. Pacchioni wrote several papers on the structure and function of the dura mater. In 1705 he published his major treatise on the subject, including a description of the arachnoid granulations now sometimes called pacchionian bodies.
