n : progressive obliteration of the arteries branching from the arch of the aorta and comprising the brachiocephalic artery, left common carotid artery, and left subclavian artery that is marked by diminution or loss of the pulse in and symptoms of ischemia in the head, neck, and arms Takayasu, Michishige (1872-1938), Japanese physician.
