Scar·pa's fascia

n :  the deep layer of the superficial fascia of the anterior abdominal wall that is composed mostly of yellow elastic fibers with little adipose tissue
 
Scarpa, Antonio (1752-1832),
Italian anatomist and surgeon. Scarpa was one of the preeminent anatomists and surgeons of his time. He wrote classic descriptions of several anatomical features that have since been associated with his name: Scarpa's fascia (1809), Scarpa's foramen (1799), and Scarpa's triangle (1809).
