n :  a granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor produced by recombinant DNA technology that is used esp. following autologous bone marrow transplantation (as that used to treat non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, acute lymphoblastic leukemia, or Hodgkin's disease) to accelerate the division and differentiation of the transplanted bone marrow cells .
