LE cell

n :  a polymorphonuclear leukocyte that is found esp. in patients with lupus erythematosus, has a characteristic histologic appearance, and has phagocytosed another cell's damaged nucleus that has combined with a specific antibody - called also lupus erythematosus cell  .
