Dick test

n :  a test to determine susceptibility or immunity to scarlet fever by an injection of scarlet fever toxin
 
Dick, George Frederick (1881-1967),
and Gladys Henry (1881-1963), American physicians. In 1923 the Dicks isolated the hemolytic streptococcus that causes scarlet fever. They also developed the toxin used for immunization and a method for preventing the disease - a toxin-antitoxin injection. The Dick test was developed in 1924.
